Who am I?
I am a women, wife, and mother. In my former life I was a research assistant working on post-harvest quality of pears and cherries. Now I am a stay-at-home mom which presents itself with an entirely new set of problems, challenges, and joys. On the outsides, research seems like a very left brain carrier, but as my husband will tell you, I may be short a few left brain cells. Yes, research is very analytical, and detailed oriented, but the true breakthroughs often come from finding creative solutions. It is akin to having a child, except that it is probably not prudent to run experiments on your child.
I have always enjoyed the creative. Therefore, I created this blog to share my journey through all of my creative undertakings. After having my son last year, I have begun to think more strongly about the importance of creativity and imagination in our lives. This blog is not another mommy blog. It is for anyone interested in being inspired or sharing their inspirations. Yes, there will be posts relating to parenting and children, but it is not exclusively so. I have way too many creative thoughts to restrict myself.
I am passionate about all things creative, whether it be creating with yarn, trying a new recipe or gardening. My hope is that I might be able to inspire someone to add a bit of creativity to their life, even if it’s as simple as approaching a problem from a different angle. Anything can be considered creativity, it’s all about perspective. For the inspiration behind my blog, visit my first post: Joining the Masses.
I encourage you, the reader, to share your stories and thoughts.
